Angilee Wilkerson

Angilee Wilkerson

Angilee Wilkerson currently lives in Denton Texas and has been working professionally as an Editorial and Fine Art photographer for over ten years. Her work has been exhibited nationally and regionally in over 50 exhibitions since 2002. Wilkerson’s works have been published in national periodicals and fine art journals including Photo Review and Photographers Forum. Wilkerson received her MFA in Photography and Intermedia from Texas Woman's University in 2008 and she continues to create meaningful photography inspired by the Texas and southern Oklahoma landscape.

Artist’s Statement:
"This exhibition of prairie landscapes and photographic assemblages alludes to what might be emerging and withdrawing within the photographic image. As the artist wanders through rural American landscapes with re-collections of inherited memories, her work explores ambiguity, while weakening traditionally held expectations of nature and history. Accordingly the work reflects upon the prairie’s open spaces and poetically formulates uncertain family narratives."
